Deciduous, for marimba and wood block, premiered on the 17th December 2024 at Bradshaw Hall, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. The piece was commissioned by the RBC Percussion Department for the Trepidation: New Music for Percussion concert, and performed by Daisy Davis

The marimba and woodblock possess an organic, earthy sound that really resonates with me. Inspired by nature, I’ve often found myself gazing out the window above my piano, following the branches of trees and watching their leaves transform from vibrant yellows to fiery oranges and finally, to earthy browns.
